Sensornet wins contract for Middle East offshore oilfield
Sensornet has been awarded a multimillion dollar contract by a major Operator in the Middle East to supply DTS systems on an offshore field over a three year period. The field uses waterflood secondary recovery to produce the oil through horizontal wells. Information from the Industry leading Sentinel™ DTS system, which has the required level of temperature resolution (<0.01degC), enables interpretation of flow distribution and allocation of the different pay zones, in the producer wells, in addition to detecting water breakthrough. Similarly, the permeable zones and flow distribution can be interpreted in the water injection wells.
