Sensornet to release DTS-XR system

Sensornet is excited to announce the imminent all-new DTS-XR release. The new DTS-XR has an extreme range of 30 km; and unlike competing long-range systems, the DTS-XR measures to these extreme ranges without compromising on spatial resolution. With the use of an optical multiplexer the range of coverage from one system can extend to 60km - making it the longest range high resolution system available on the market today.

Summary of sensing capabilities

  • Range - 0-30km
  • Spatial resolution - 2m
  • Temperature resolution - from 0.01 deg C (for multimode system)
  • Speed - measurements from once every 10 seconds
  • Available in both Multimode & Singlemode

The Sentinel DTS is the most technologically advanced distributed temperature sensing system today. The system is packaged in a standalone unit which contains both the sensing optoelectronics and an onboard PC. The system operates with an intuitive, user-friendly software interface (based on Windows 2000), making it a simple-to-use and easily transportable system. The system has been designed with safety in mind and has been tested to some of the industry's most rigorous standards.

The system is optimised for measurements on single-ended cable installations, but with the addition of a multiplexing module it can easily be configured to produce double-ended measurements. The system is available in both multimode & singlemode fibre (performance specs above based on multimode system).

Visit the Sensornet website again soon for the date of release of the DTS-XR. In the meantime, for any enquiries or further information please contact a Sensornet representative.
